Looking back, April was generally a month of very welcome sunshine!
In fact, ever since the clocks went forward at the end of March, we seem to have had plenty of long sunny days, which of course has contributed to a great month here at The Langton Garden Centre and the re-opening of our outdoor area in the Greenhouse Café.
Our Garden Centre team have again been busy getting lots of fantastic new stock out like the Summer bedding plants that have now arrived. Our Gift Centre team have been looking for the best products to give you the best choices when shopping for a gift or for yourself.
However, our main priority remains protecting our staff and customers from COVID-19, helping to reduce the spread of the virus. Therefore, we have been maintaining and regularly reviewing the COVID secure guidelines we have in place.
It’s getting very close to that time of the year again. Whether it's a family BBQ, or a gathering of friends now the weather is a little warmer, we’ve got you covered. We now have a brand-new selection of barbeques available in our Garden Centre to help you make the most of the glorious weather!!
It’s also now the time for summer bedding. We’ve been getting lots of questions over the last few weeks about if we have any summer bedding in stock, and now we can say ‘yes, we have it’! We’ve taken delivery of the first of our locally grown hanging basket plants, including Geraniums, Fuchsia, trailing Petunia and many more. All still at our great price of £1.99 or 6 for £10. We also have larger pots of Begonia, Dahlia, Geranium and many more to make an instant impact. Please remember though, these plants don’t like the cold, so will need protecting from any frost.
The Greenhouse Café is back open for business. After several long months, we could finally reopen the doors to our café, even if it is only outdoor seating at the moment. We made sure we had a full cake counter and plenty of outdoor seating so our customers could again enjoy the sunshine with a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. We can’t wait for more of our fantastic customers to come back to see us in the weeks ahead.
Our team in the Gift Centre have been busy putting out our Spring/Summer clothing collection for 2021. From unwrapping them to steaming the creases out and then hanging them up, they are now out ready for our customers to browse. We have clothes from Numph, Fransa, Saint Tropez and LV. All these brands provide bright and lightweight clothes that are perfect for the warmer summer months to stop you getting too hot. The great range we have contains plenty of bold, fresh and contemporary clothes that are sure to make you stand out from the crowd.
Spring is now well underway and even with the temperature rising there is still a threat of frost for all those young plants and any Summer bedding plants you may have. With the opening of the Greenhouse Café, it's been brilliant to see lots of our familiar customers back, and now we can't wait to open the inside on May 17th with our usual hours and welcome back even more of you.
Until then, we remain open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays, and we look forward to welcoming you back.
