With the Takeaway menu starting this week at the Black Horse we were asked by Claire to do a trial so she could check the card machine worked (off site) for payment and the food was still hot etc......
We were not disappointed, the food arrived on time and was absolutely delicious with lashings of yummy gravy (a must in our house!!) Thanks so much Daniel & Claire for a wonderful Sunday lunch and no washing up!!!!!!

We had a lovely meal at the Black Horse over the weekend. We were able to sit on the patio and enjoy the views. The food was great and my little boy enjoyed his homemade meal. The staff were great and very friendly. Thank you for a lovely meal.

We go to the Black Horse regularly. The service is unfailingly helpful, polite and friendly. The food is extremely delicious, plentiful and good value. The beers are very well kept. The garden is excellent with beautiful views and you can walk there easily from the locks.

Went to the Black Horse for drinks with friends. Had a fantastic evening sitting outside with great views. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They have put in place good Covid security measures. It’s a lovely pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere in a beautiful village.

Dropped in on Bank Holiday Monday on the off chance of getting a table. Although they were very busy they found us a table. Sunday lunch was perfect 👌. Staff were very friendly and couldn't have made us feel anymore welcome. Definitely recommend.

First of all I want to congratulate the team at the Black Horse for putting great measures in place to help keep everyone as safe as possible in these difficult times. Hand sanitisers everywhere; tables socially distanced really well and many other measures, which made us feel really safe whilst we were there.
The gardens are lovely - it was a lovely sunny day today; the interior of the pub is spacious, clean and well decorated, so what’s not to like.!
Back to the food, the menu is a good selection of meals which are great value. We had the Sea Bass, which was cooked perfectly and tasted superb. The staff were very helpful.
If you are looking for a lovely meal, in a beautiful location, then don’t hesitate in visiting the Black Horse at Foxton.
