When the Black Horse Pub in Foxton, Leicestershire re-opened its doors back in December 2018, the local community had their country pub back after a long absence with new dedicated owners, new decor, new beers and wines, quality dining and a great new atmosphere.
Claire and Daniel Bryers know how to run a good pub and with their past experience, they were always going to create a warm welcome whether you were to drink at one of the bars, or dine in the fresh look restaurant.
"We had a lovely lunch on the patio in the sun, great food, well kept gardens and good value for money. Just a stone’s throw from the tow path by the canal, you can walk to Foxton Locks in 20 mins. We would definitely return."

THE PUB boasts its customary great choices of home cooked food from new menus, served at tables both inside and outside.
A large outside Canopy covers the terrace tables, protecting you from the wind and any potential rain, and overlooks the delightful beer garden and views. And on warmer days, the garden is open for food and drink service while you enjoy the fine weather.
We consider the heart and reputation of any country pub mostly relies on:

In our opinion, The Black Horse at Foxton excels in every department as verified by numerous customer reviews, with particular reference to the quality and variety of home cooked food.
The food menus change with the seasons and have been carefully designed to ensure you can always eat well with good choices of wholesome home cooked food, and a full bar of popular drinks all served in the comfortable and friendly environment.
The Menu at The Black Horse comprises of Starters, Main courses, Children's Main or smaller adult portion courses, Snacks & Sides.
The MAIN PUB MENU is served: Wednesdays to Fridays 12 noon -2pm & 5pm -8:30pm & Saturdays 12 noon -8:30pm
The SUNDAY LUNCH MENU is a particular favourite, served each week from 12.00- 4.00pm - an occasion to be enjoyed for all the family.

TEA ROOM UPDATE - January 2024
Sadly, the adjoining Stables Tea Room is NOW CLOSED, but the quaint building serves as a perfect MEETING or PRIVATE FUNCTION ROOM and can comfortably seat up to 20 guests.
This comes with optional BUFFET as required- (see our Buffet brochure here).

Occasional LIVE MUSIC and other popular entertainment features at The Black Horse, including monthly 'Open Mic' nights where talented local musicians will perform for your entertainment and popular acts such as 'FINGERS N'FUMBS', SONIC VULTURES, THE KISMET ROCK PARTY BAND and other gifted acts will be booked throughout the year.
Karaoke nights and monthly Charity Quizzes are also back, so please 'watch this space' and the Black Horse website and facebook page for updates.
We highly recommend a visit to The Black Horse Pub at Foxton, especially if you're not familiar with the area.
You'll find it on Main Street in Foxton, just down from St Andrews Church. An ample car park at the back of the pub provides safe parking and easy access to the pub.
