Arden Sailing Club is a thriving sailing club which has enjoyed many years of fun on the river Avon at Defford, near Pershore. There is organised dinghy racing on Sundays and Wednesday evenings during the summer along with many social events throughout the year. The club is an RYA approved training centre running two formal courses per year. We have a small fleet of club boats and give friendly advice to new members encouraging them to take to the water in the improvers or full race program or, of course, just for fun!.

Birmingham Airport is celebrating its 70th Anniversary and since its first ever flight in May 1939, the Airport has grown from strength to strength to become the Midlands gateway to the world and position of regional pride. To handle the growing number of flights and passengers, construction on a new Airport terminal on the other side of the runway began in 1981 with a capacity for 3 million people. It opened in 1984 by Her Majesty the Queen and handles record passenger numbers during the first few years.

Probably one of the best 9 hole courses in England, clever use of two separate tees for each hole means effectively you enjoy a 18 hole course.
