Wow, what an exciting end to The Apprentice on BBC1 last night.
Mark Wright won the £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar with his digital marketing idea ‘Climb online.’ It’s a great name, which matches its proposition of moving businesses up the search engine listings. His opponent Bianca Millar’s idea of producing tights in skin-matching shades persuaded Lord Sugar to go with the ‘devil-in-him’ and back Mark instead.
So, Mark is planning to enter the saturated market place of companies offering to move your business up the search engine rankings with his £400 per month proposition. Mark clearly knows how to sell this offering to businesses in his current position but as Bianca said on the night: “as a small business I have spent £000’s on companies promising this service – it doesn’t work.”
I have the drive and ambition to do the best for each of my business members and want them to rank highly in search engines but it takes so much more than just adding keywords.
Marketing is about the whole package of brand awareness and strategy to achieve maximum exposure to consumers or businesses and the really great thing is that thebestof succeeds in doing this already in the MalvernHills.
I don’t have the luxury of a £250k investment from Lord Sugar, I had to do what most small business owners do and that is beg and borrow the money to get started, this coupled with 25 years of business experience is what makes thebestof the fantastic local marketing business for your company.
Clearly having Lord Sugar behind you is a great start but it’s not a guarantee, so good luck to Mark with his business idea and it will be interesting to watch it develop under Lord Sugar’s tutelage but if its my money I’m spending I would climb onboard thebestof MalvernHills – it really does work in the area you live and work in.
