Mothers Day is on 3rd April this year, so give yourself plenty of time to organise a special treat for her. There are many ways to show your mum how special she is, so take a little time and make sure to put some effort in!

Here are a few ideas to help you…

If the weather is fair why not gather the family together and enjoy a gentle walk over the Malvern Hills, it’s sure to blow any cobwebs away and leave you with a healthy appetite for lunch. Save mum the hassle of cooking and stop off at The Mount Pleasant Hotel to enjoy a lunchtime meal. Conveniently situated with direct access to the hills this local Hotel and Restaurant has just been voted as one of the ‘Much Loved Businesses’ in the town.

If you prefer an afternoon treat The Cottage in The Wood is a wonderful place to enjoy afternoon tea, the views from their restaurant are truly amazing. Their range of lunchtime light bites are sure to impress and satisfy hungry appetites.

Flowers are always a popular choice for Mothers Day, so this year instead of fresh cut flowers why not choose a plant or shrub from Grange Farm Nursery in Guarlford. Owner Carol offers a selection of specialist plants and shrubs that are sure to please mum and look good year after year.

Theatre vouchers make a great gift that can be enjoyed later in the year…so if mum prefers a day relaxing at home on Mothers Day why not pop to Malvern Theatres for some Theatre vouchers. They make an easy gift to slip into an envelope and can be used to enjoy the latest drama, comedy, musical or box office hit!

Well I hope that’s given you a few Mothers Day ideas; make sure you plan a little in advance and give your mum a Mothers Day to remember!

I live at the edge of a pretty little town at the foot of the Malvern Hills, where days are long and always sunny, my house tidy, cupboards full, and the washing pile non existent...hmm maybe not.
