Malvern Hills Half Term Fun

With half term just around the corner, and with the weather remaining damp and miserable keeping the little ones entertained is no mean feat. Fear not as we have a range of recommendations for activities and events to keep the whole family happy.

Fun at the Malvern Museum

The kids might be having a break from school but that doesn’t mean the learning should stop.

Malvern Museum is commemorating the centenary of WW1 and has a series of exhibitions showing how Malvern was affected.

Pottery Painting For Kids

Head over to the GeoCentre for some artistic and creative fun.

Wednesday 18th February 2015, 10am - 12:30pm.

Pottery painting for kids.  Let them demonstrate their artistic flair whilst you enjoy some light refreshments from Cafe H2O.

Malvern Hills Local Walks

Here’s an activity that won’t cost you a penny, put your walking boots on and head over to the Wildlife Trusts Knapp and Papermill nature reserves. This beautiful trail takes in orchards, meadows, woodland and brooks. A leaflet is available from the Information Centre near the entrance to guide visitors around the reserve.  See their website for further details: http://www.wildlifetrusts.org/reserves/knapp-and-papermill

If that hasn’t tired out those little legs then you can let them loose on the Malvern Hills. Have a race to see who can get to the top of The Worcestershire Beacon first or let their imaginations run riot at British Camp this Iron Age Hill Fort.

Croome Park National Trust - 50 Things To Do Before You’re 11 ¾.

Croome Park is a great destination for any youngsters trying to complete the National Trust’s 50 Things To Do Before You’re 11 ¾. Added to that there is a fun trail to unravel the Coventry Code around the park.

Saturday 14 February to Sunday 22 February, £1.50 with a prize.

Malvern Rotary Club 2015 Pancake Race

Malvern Rotary club is once again organizing its annual Pancake Race. The race will be held on Shrove Tuesday, 17th February in Priory Park. The race will begin at 12.30pm and should prove to be very entertaining.

Malvern Cinema- Paddington

If the weather takes a turn for the worse then what better way to escape another downpour than in the cinema. Malvern Cinema is showing Paddington throughout the half term week. This delightful film sees the famous bear arrive in London from darkest Peru and follows his hair-raising escapades as he searches for a home in the vast city of London. With a 5 year old who is mad about bears, you can guarantee that we’ll be there at least once!

Frozen Sing-Along

Frozen Sing-Along is the perfect half term treat for the whole family. Malvern Cinema is showing a a sing-a-long addition, featuring all of the lyrics and a magic bouncing snowflake so you can sing-a-long to all your favourite songs! Don't miss the opportunity to dress up, “Let It Go” and sing your hearts out with Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Prince Hans and the mystical trolls! 18th February at 10.30am.

You can find full details for all these activities on our Events page and don’t forget if you’ve got a half term event you want to promote you can add it for free! We’d love to hear how you got on with any or all of these events so leave us a review and tell us all about it.

Have a great half term!
