Croome Park....a wonderful place to visit

I couldn’t help but notice that the Morgan Motor Company are very generously donating a 4/4 sports car to help raise much needed funds towards the restoration of Croome Court. Having spent a very lazy day at Croome Park earlier this year it brought back some lovely summer memories…

...I’d idled a day away under the bough of a huge Yew tree near to the Court. It was one of those hot sunny days, picnic packed, Sunday papers at hand, cool drinks to enjoy and the perfect setting to admire. The sun had been so hot, indeed one of the hottest days of the year and Croome Park with its beautifully landscaped gardens had been the perfect place to visit. How lucky we are to have such wonderful places on our doorstep to visit, that our heritage is so interesting to explore.

Well the Summer is over and Autumn definitely with us, those lovely hazy summer days are now just memories. Why not dig out your warm winter woolies, pack a flask of hot tea and head off to Croome Park for the day…you’ll love the landscaped gardens and the tranquility it has to offer.

I live at the edge of a pretty little town at the foot of the Malvern Hills, where days are long and always sunny, my house tidy, cupboards full, and the washing pile non existent...hmm maybe not.
