Craft Fair for Save the Children

Rain, rain, go away please come back another day……please!

This morning I pondered over hot coffee and thickly buttered toast with lashings of lemon curd as to what I could do to raise money for charity….I had been approached to sell some of my goodies at a Craft Fair in Malvern and imagined my table covered with a pretty gingham cloth, filled with hand made, irresistible items.

Mmmm …perhaps an abundance of useful but delightful things that aren’t available on the High Street that add a touch of quirkiness or even glamour to your home is what’s needed.

I pondered some more….a plan is coming together, indeed a wonderful plan that will keep me busy into the wee small hours, a plan that will satisfy my need to sew and my need to raise money to help the ‘Save the Children Charity.’

I do believe the way to happiness is through giving….whether a smile, the offer of help, a compliment or purely your time…..by giving to others you can’t help but smile inside.

Over the next few weeks between my indulgent ‘crafty’ moments I will post some tutorials on how to make a few of the delights you’ll find at the summer Craft Fair….postings of which will also follow.

I live at the edge of a pretty little town at the foot of the Malvern Hills, where days are long and always sunny, my house tidy, cupboards full, and the washing pile non existent...hmm maybe not.
