The 7th Malvern Scouts have been busy cleaning cars to raise money towards the £500 needed to repair the leaking roof on their scout hut.

A Grand Car Wash was held at Beacon DentalCare on Pickersleigh Road on Saturday 12th March.  The scouts used the car park and land at the front of the building to get a really good system going. The boys found it hard work but managed to raise an enormous £270 during the course of the day!

Stella Hewitt and Jenson the dog also put in a special guest appearance, and the scouts enjoyed washing Stellas car before having their photos taken with Jenson.

Karen Sutton, dentist at Beacon DentalCare said, "We have been delighted to help the scouts find an easy access central location for their Car wash as part of our Beacon DentalCare Care 2011 programme. We are very grateful to our members for coming along and supporting this worthwhile venture. We will be happy to host them again later in the year when we hope they will raise even more for their roof fund."

If anyone would like to help the 7th Malvern Scouts with their roof repairs, please contact Beacon DentalCare's practice manager Chris Smith who will pass on the information.
