With the final instalment of Harry Potter hitting the shelves just a few days ago, the UK is well and truly in the grip of Potter mania!

And to celebrate, Macclesfield Library will play host to a magical craft fair on 16th December. There are few who have not fallen under the spell of JK Rowling's characters, and this Wizarding Winter Fair plays tribute to them in a very special way.

Fifteen stalls overflowing with hand-made, original magical crafts, the event sets out to promote creativity, imagination and community based around the Harry Potter books. Enjoy games, a quiz, prize draw and traditional carols led by the Hogwarts School Choir. Feast on warm Butterbeer, cupcakes and other delicacies.

The event promises to be fun for all the family, even those rare individuals who have not yet enjoyed the magic of Harry and his school friends (and adversaries!) You're encouraged to don your finest wizarding costume... you could win a prize!

Starting at 16:15, the event takes place at Macclesfield Library on Jordangate on the 16th December 2011. Entry is £5 in advance, £7 on the door and only £2 if you hold an East Cheshire Library Card.
