NatWest CommunityForce is a brand new initiative that sees the bank working with local communities to support the projects, charities and individuals that make your city, town or village better places.

One such community project that is currently in with the chance of securing funding from the initiative, is Bollington's own Canalside Community Radio. The radio station near Macclesfield is a not-for-profit community radio station, which is committed to broadcasting music, entertainment and information with a strong local bias.

It also supports other local charities and projects and offers free radio training opportunities to individuals in the area.

If Canalside Community Radio secure the £6,000 funding, they will be able to replace worn out equipment and continue to offer training. However, in order to be in with a chance, supporters must vote through the NatWest CommunityForce website.

They are up against some big players, who already have funding in place; however, Canalside Community Radio still has a good chance of winning as they have received a lot of support from the local community. But there are only two days left to vote, so don't delay!

Register with NatWest CommunityForce (don't tick the boxes if you don't want to be contacted!) and then VOTE CANALSIDE!

thebestof Macclesfield thanks you in advance.
