Another white out and this time for all league fixtures in National One, as well as many others, which left little option on Saturday other than to do some early Xmas shopping or watch Barbarians v. South Africa on TV!!

This is now getting frustrating and with little hope of fixtures for this Saturday and indeed the rest of the year if you believe the Met Office, we will be starting a new season in early January 2011 sometime.  Let’s hope not.

The game at Otley will now be played on Saturday 26 February and I guess if the Tynedale game is lost this Saturday, then 19 March is the next – and only – available date until May when the Cricket season will be upon us again and, watching England down under, I cannot wait to get the whites out again!

Whatever happens this Saturday, the Stags Xmas Extravaganza will definitely take place in the clubhouse and I suspect also so will the pre match dinner, but to be certain, contact the club office soonest as these postponed games means lack of income for the club and, as you will all be aware, income is needed each week throughout the season. So, let’s see you all there for 12.30.pm.

Talking income, many of you will have received three books of raffle tickets to sell on behalf of the club and I trust all will be sold as there are some good prizes to be had when the draw is made on Sunday 16 January 2011 at the club.  All these little things mount up and in this present economic climate, every penny to the club is gratefully received. I’ve sold mine – HAVE YOU??

Games for Saturday:

1st v. Tynedale – League – Home

2nd v. Altrincham Kersal – League – Home

3rd v. Preston Grasshoppers – League – Home

4th v. Wilmslow 3 – League – Away

Vets v. Lymm – League – Home

**Please note – not all games planned at Priory Park may take place there**

Enjoy your Rugby – I will when it starts again,
