The last thing we need over the festive season is to miss our waste and recycling collections, given that the odds are we'll have twice as much to dispose of than normal.

So make a note of the revised collection dates for Cheshire East, particularly if your normal collection day is a Bank Holiday.

Last posting dates

Today (Wednesday 14 December) is the last posting date for parcels. If you've missed it panic not - Royal Mail is offering Recorded, Special Delivery and Parcelforce Express Delivery 24 right up until 24th December 2011.

For last-minute Christmas cards within the UK, you can post second class up until Saturday 17 December and first class up until Tuesday 20 December 2011.
