Macclesfield RUFC Match Preview

Macclesfield v Blaydon - Saturday 16th October 2010 Kick-off 3pm

This weekend, Macclesfield return to Priory Park to face Blaydon in National League One. The two sides have met in the past, with games tending to be decided by home advantage.

The Blues will be in a confident mood after securing victory and Coventry, whilst Blaydon will be looking to improve after a home defeat against Cambridge. So far this season, they have played 6, won 2 and lost 4 so Macclesfield will be looking at this game as one they can win.

Blaydon were founded in 1888 and are based in Swalwell, Newcastle upon Tyne. Last year was their first season in National league one and they more than held their own finishing in 7th place. Both sides will believe that have what it takes to win and it should make for a fantastic encounter.

The Blues have injury concerns over Tony Howcroft after he left the field on crutches at Coventry to what looked like a serious knee injury. Jonathon Keep will be back after his best man duties at the weekend and Jack Stott-Sugden should have recovered from the ankle knock that kept him out against Coventry.

It promises to be a superb match so please come down and so your support for the team.
