Launched by Nigel Botterill, Chief Executive of The Best Of, the Love-O-Meter challenged the public to vote for the businesses they felt most worthy of recommendation within their local area.
From the 1st February right through to Valentine’s Day itself, the great British public voted in their thousands for their ‘Most Loved Local Businesses’ in the UK.
The results that followed were astonishing, with many Macclesfield companies successfully making it into the acclaimed ‘Top 100 Most Loved Businesses’ in Britain.
Special mention should go to Briscola Italian Restaurant in Bollington, who came twelfth overall across the whole of the UK, with a huge 248 people recommending them as the best eatery in the area.
Fellow Macclesfield business E Connor Joinery & Building Ltd also made it into the top one hundred, coming fifty seventh in the prestigious poll.
