MACCLESFIELD IS FULL OF FESTIVE CHEER THIS CHRISTMAS
Santa is on his way and the Macclesfield Guild and Chamber of Trade have been planning a series of events in Macclesfield Town Centre to add some festive cheer to your Christmas shopping.
Saturday 28th November is the official switch on of the Christmas lights and we would like you and your families to come along and join our fairytale parade through the town centre. The parade will include special guests including Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty to name but a few with a spectacular fairytale coach. We invite families to come along and join the parade in your finest fairytale outfits. The parade meets at 3pm outside The Cook Shop at the top of Chestergate and will parade through the town until the big switch on at 4pm.
Late night Thursday Shopping – Join us for late night shopping and be entertained by stilt walkers, jugglers and fire eaters performing in the town centre for your delight. Performances from local schools carol singing and musical delights are in store too. Parking is free so come along and enjoy the evening.
Saturday 5th December – Macclesfield Youth Brass Band will be performing in the Marketplace from 10:00am – 12:30pm
Thursday 10th December – Catholic Church Carol Singers in the Marketplace
Thursday 17th December – Carole Service at St Michaels Church
Monday 21st – Help For Heroes Charity Run – come along to the Marketplace to welcome home our brave runners who will have completed a gruelling 32 mile run for Help the Heroes. Entertainment throughout the afternoon.
