Macclesfield Town FC will join forces with the MAST scanner appeal for an open day at the Moss Rose on Saturday 31st July after the Silkmen's home match with Rhyl.

MAST was established as an independent charity 17 years ago by a patient to raise money for the hospital's first CT Scanner.

Since then the charity has raised well over £2,000,000 to provide numerous items for the benefit of patients. Without MAST many hospital departments would not have this vitally needed new equipment which it was not possible to provide from the NHS funding budget.

And the appeal is currently working to raise £150,000 by the end of the year to buy new digital scanning equipment.

As well as your chance to meet and greet with the Silkmen squad and management the Moss Rose will also be hosting a human table football tournament, laser clay pigeon shooting and other stalls and activities on the day.

Human Table Football

The table football tournament features teams of five people which can be made up of squads of up to eight players.

The Silkmen and MAST are set to open the event to 16 teams who will begin by playing in four groups of four. The winners of each group will then go on to play a semi-final and final with the winners receiving a trophy and medals.

Entry to the event costs £60 per team or £100 for corporate teams (who will also receive recognition in the matchday programme and over the PA system) with ALL proceeds going to the MAST scanner appeal.

There will also be a grand prize on offer for the top marksman in the clay pigeon event.

Keep checking www.mtfc.co.uk for more details on the event such as how to register your team for the human-table-football tournament and what else will be on offer on the day.

The Silkmen's match against Rhyl will kick off at 1.00pm and after the game has finished, spectators can stay for the Meet the Players Open Day at 3.00pm.
