Anthony Ogogo visited the Queen at Buckingham Palace for a reception put on for the 2012 GB medalists.
The Lowestoft bronze medalist, 23 tweeted before the event "Dear Ma'am. Ive polished my shiniest shoes & ironed, yes ironed my own shirt. Therefore I hope you've cracked open your best china".
Anthony is still considering his options on whether to stay in amateur boxing or turn professional.
After the reception came another tweet from the Lowestoft lad saying "The most amazing few hours. The Queen shook my hand and we chatted about Bond... She's one sassy chick. Kate Middleton too. 2012 Rocks!".
Anthony was also named as joint Suffolk sports personality of the year on friday, making 2012 an extra special year for him in his career.
