Running for Wales Air Ambulance in the Bangor 10K
is a mixed bunch of Accountants from Williams Denton Cyf based in Bangor.

Staff from Williams Denton based on Parc Menai are participating in the Bangor 10K on 27th May 2012. Eleri Owen, Eluned Roberts, Emma Strange, Owain Ap Elfed and Director Keith Barker are aiming to raise £2,000 for Wales Air Ambulance.

Commenting on his team’s run, Keith Barker said, “I have been cajoled into taking part in the Bangor 10 k run, 25 years after I did my last half marathon in Chester, so please dig deep as this is going to be a challenge for both me and the rest of the team”.

Their aim is to raise £3,000 for Wales Air Ambulance. So far they’ve managed to reach £1,500 which is an amazing achievement. If you have had experience of  the Wales Air Ambulance service you’ll know how invaluable they are in an area like Wales. WALES AIR AMBULANCE is a charitable emergency service that provides vital air cover across the whole of Wales for life-threatening illness or injuries. Since its launch on St David’s Day in 2001, the three red helicopters stationed in Mid, North and South Wales respond to over a thousand emergencies a year, saving countless lives. From mountain tops to back gardens, the helicopters can be anywhere in Wales within just 20 minutes. With such a diverse landscape, the ‘Helimeds’ are vital for reaching both remote countryside and bustling towns and cities when time really matters. To keep the service running and introduce New Generation helicopters, in-line with Civil Aviation Authority legislation, requires Wales Air Ambulance to raise £5 Million a year.

We’d like to wish the whole team at Williams Denton the best of luck on Sunday.
