History of The Groes Inn

The Groes Inn dates from the fifteenth century, and was the first licensed house in Wales. It still retains its "old world" charm and character, now expertly blended with contemporary attention to detail, ensuring that time and time again it's the choice of visitors from near and far.

The Hotel

There are fourteen en-suite rooms at The Groes Inn, each as comfortable as the next but each individually styled, blending classic and contemporary furnishings.

All rooms have views either of the foothills of Snowdonia or the Conwy Valley. Some also have their own private terraces or balconies.

The Groes is perfectly situated for exploring North Wales and its dramatic coastline and mountain ranges, and is just a few minutes' drive from Conwy the World Heritage Site, which embraces four of Edward I's magnificent fortified towns.
