Join us for Summer Sounds - a packed programme of music on the bandstand at Strawberry Field. With free music events happening every weekend throughout the summer, Summer Sounds is the perfect family day out. Bring along your picnic blankets and deckchairs, and enjoy music in the garden as John Lennon did as a child.
Live on the bandstand on Sunday 23rd June is Band on the Wall's Jazz Workshop Band.
Band on the Wall's Jazz Workshop is the longest running of its kind in Manchester. Taught and directed by renowned saxophonist Munch Manship, it has become a creative hub for Jazz musicians from across the North West region who are passionate about the music. The band will be taking to the bandstand to perform band some of the hottest and coolest numbers from the giants of Jazz.
Doors open from 10am with performances starting at 2pm. Free entry, but donations are welcome and appreciated.
Please note that there is no seating in the garden. Feel free to bring your own chairs and picnic blankets. Food and drink will be available to purchase in the Imagine More café.
