Ghost Hunt at the Museum of Wigan Life 17 October 2026
Saturday 17 October 2026. 8.30pm to 1.00am. Tickets £29.
Join DeadLive for a rare after-dark paranormal investigation inside the Museum of Wigan Life in the heart of Wigan.
The museum occupies Wigan’s first public library, designed by Alfred Waterhouse and opened in 1878. It was the town’s first public building with electric lighting, and George Orwell researched The Road to Wigan Pier in the upstairs reference library in 1936.
With the museum’s ground-floor gallery undergoing a major transformation ahead of its summer 2027 reopening, this is an unusual opportunity to investigate the historic building after dark. Access will be limited to the areas approved by the venue.
Your evening
The DeadLive team will lead small groups through a series of controlled vigils and experiments using a range of paranormal investigation equipment. No actors and nothing staged. Paranormal activity can never be guaranteed.
