With the first week of the Holidays coming to an end you may be wondering how to keep the children entertained over the weekend.  Thankfully Liverpool has a host of Easter themed activities aimed to keep your children busy and reduce holiday boredom.

April 16 sees the arrival of the Carnival at Underwater Street. Underwater Street is Liverpool’s Discovery Centre and there will be a host of different activities which children can come and take part in throughout the day.

The timetable for the event includes making accessories to wear in the hat and mask parades at 12.45 and at 4pm.  The carnival is a great way to learn about the traditional celebrations throughout the world including Europe, South America and Africa.  It promises to be a bright and colourful day full of fun and things to do.

If you cannot make the Carnival the centre is also open every day up until May 2, although it will be closed for the Royal Wedding on April 29.

Tickets for the carnival do vary but a basic child’s ticket coasts just £4.50.  The centre is located on Water Street, Pier Head, L3 1DS, if you want to find out more call 0151 227 2550.
