Strictly Hip Hop at Liverpool's WoW Festival

There is a night with a mixture of beats and the spoken word as well as live music on Friday May 20. Strickly Hip Hop is featuring guests including Akala, The Cipher, Caktuz, NYCE and Surreal Knowledge. Akala won the Best Hip-Hop Mobo Award back in 2006 and was the first MC recognised by MTV.  His inspiration comes from the Wu Tang Clan and has supported M.I.A and Aguilera in the past.  His show is a mixture of dynamic beats and amazing literature and is one of the best talents in the UK hip-hop scene today.

The Cipher has been to the WoW festival for the last four years and gives you an insight into the new generation. Surreal Knowledge is a trio of artists who have taken their influences from rock, jazz, hip-hop, soul and funk.  Caktuz and NYCE are visiting Liverpool all the way from the streets of New York City.

All ages are welcome to attend this exciting event in the Writing on the Wall Festival.  It all kicks of at 8pm and will be running till late at The Picket on 61 Jordan Street, Liverpool.  Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children if bought in advance from the Philharmonic Hall Box Office- 0151 709 3789.  You can also pay on the door at a cost of £7 for adults and £4 for under 18’s.
