The Running Mad Professor goes Viral
Our very own Mad Professor, Tom Solomon, has gone viral with the very comical You Tube video of his preparations for the London Marathon on April 25th – check out the video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPtmXnWj6jk – it’s great.
Tom is very well known to lots of people in Crosby , some may simply know him for the car he drives – he’s the bloke in that old green split screen Moggy Minor 1000 you see driving down College Road.
Tom has recently spent some time in Malawi and you will see some of that in his video clips which have been put together by Tom’s wife Rachel.
Tom Solomon is head of the Liverpool Brain Infections Group based in the Walton Centre in Liverpool. Tom specialises in brain infections, which include encephalitis. Encephalitis is a swelling of the brain normally caused by viral infection
Tom is running the London Marathon for the Encephalitis Society. Tom wants, not only to raise awareness of the disease, but to raise valuable funds for much needed research. Tom is hoping to raise over £5000 but let’s hope this target really gets smashed and with everyone’s help I’m sure it will. At the time of posting Tom was 90% there
