The new TV company is based in Liverpool's New Innovation Centre and is chaired by Jack Stopforth, the former Chief Executive of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce. The channel, to be called BayTV will be on freeview, and is expected to reach almost 900,000 homes and was deemed by the Broadcasting Licensing Committee to offer the broadest range of programmes made in and about the local area.
