Jaguar Land Rover, which employs 4,500 at its flagship Liverpool plant, is thought to be on course for record sales and profits, writes Barry Turnbull. The business owned by India's Tata Motors could eclipse last year's profits of £1.5bn. Sales for April increased 12 % over the previous year with over half the vehicles sold made up of the Range Rover Evoque and Freelander 2 models built at Halewood, Liverpool. The company plans to spend £2.75bn on upgrading its factories worldwide. The success means the Liverpool operation is likely to go from strength-to-strength,
