There is a maximum of 40 runners and riders in the Grand National on Saturday. For the complete listing see the link below.
There are 27 Irish trained horses, running and there are 2 reserves listed.
The favourite at the time of writing is the Willie Mullins trained On His Own at 7-1, while the second favourite at 10-1 Seabass is ridden by Katie Walsh, who was riding the tragic Battlefront in today's race.
There has been some controversy in relation to horse's deaths on this course in the past. Aintree have endeavoured to make it safer with a redesign of the fences and a slight alteration in the course.
The core of the fences now consists of plastic, rather than wood, and has received a positive response from riders.
Our sympathies go to the Walsh family for their loss, and especially to Katie who is hoping for the first winner ridden by a woman and the main event of Saturday. we wish her the best and are tempted to have a flutter!
