FABULOUS FORMBY GEMS
Formby Gems Dance Troupe was established in September 2005 by two friends Michelle and Laura, they have 27 years of dancing experience between them. Michelle and Laura have danced for Southport Silhouettes and more recently, Michelle has danced for Preston Rosettes. In 2005 Shelley, a former Silhouettes dancer, joined Formby Gems and is involved in the running and training of the troupes. Together with the aforementioned, Michelle is an experienced judge for organisation such as NEMDCO and NDTO - this equals a winning formula!
Formby Gems is at the end of their 3rd season together and have been competeting in competitions on Sundays with NDTO (Northern Dance Troupe Organisation) and UMDA (United Morris Dancers Association).
Formby Gems practice at: Holy Trinity Church, The Workshop, Rosemary Lane, Formby Village (between HBSC Bank and Flames take out)
Formby Gems practice on Mondays from 5:45pm - 9:30pm and are always looking for new dancers of all ages to join their troupes. Classes start from from 2 years through to any age.
Don't worry if you have no dancing experience they are pleased to teach anybody who is interested and willing to give it a go!
