14 days of Love - UK Winner and Crosby Winners

You may like to know that the best loved business in the whole of the UK was the Left Bank Brasserie in Ormskirk.  That site is run by my colleauge Jane Windle and the site is www.thebestof.co.uk/ormskirk. Jane has been running the Ormskirk site for some time and her achievements are something that we would like to emulate in Crosby

The ‘14 Days of Love’ campaign from TheBestOf generated over 138,000 testimonials from the length and breadth of the country.  More than 30,000 businesses drawn from almost 400 towns and spanning every business type - from hairdressers, tattoo artists, fitness instructors and bridal stores through to bouncy castles accountants, architects, solicitors - even dentists and funeral directors – all received nominations from adoring customers.

Nigel Botterill CEO of TheBestOf commented “Small business owners have kept our economy going over the last 18 months.  They employ millions of people, provide services that we all use and can have a massive impact on our quality of life – whether it’s delivering to customers out of hours, calling on older customers to check they’re ok or simply looking after their customers brilliantly.  In fact in our research one in five people say there is a small local firm they just can’t live without.  We wanted to give people the chance to throw the spotlight on these superb small businesses – and they have!”

The  most loved small businesses in Crosby in order are:

Fu's Chinese Restaurant, South Road - Offers on site

Saffron Indian Restaurant - Offers on site
David Morris Project Management, Building Contractors
Bright Digital Media / Printing.com, Marketing & Web Design
Logic Estate Agents, South Road
Anthony John Catering Services, Blundellsands
Cobhams Accountants, Crosby Village
John Maggs Photography, Waterloo

As the site develops thebestofcrosby hope to support and promote many more small local businesses over the months to come.  There will be more campaigns over the next twelve months aimed at showcasing local businesses and we will be running a 'Buy Local' campaign soon.  I am sure that the Valentines campaign will be replicated again next year.

Thanks to everyone who got involved - we'll give the other sites a run for their money next year.
