Like many hospices, Claire House relies on the generosity of fundraisers to keep its doors open.

Each day the specialist children’s centre needs £6,500 to provide its excellent range of serv ices.

An army of volunteers and fundraisers help achieve this goal along with the charity shops  

Located in Bebington on the Wirral, Claire House is a bright, vibrant place of hope which opened its doors in December 1998 for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families from Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

A home from home environment is offered; a place where families can relax, recharge their batteries and have fun with their children. Specialist care is on hand to help them make the most of every day and live life to the full.

Since 1998, Claire House has gone from strength to strength, supporting over 300 families from across the region and being recognised as a centre of excellence for specialist care in the North West.

In 2006 the Adolescent Wing wasopened, allowing carers to help care for young people in an environment where they feel happy and relaxed and able to live their lives to the fullest. A year later, our Hospice to Home service was launched, taking our expert care far beyond the hospice site and out into the community and the family home.

Claire House is not a sad place: it is a place for living. It provides an opportunity to share concerns and worries with people who understand.

There is a chain of charity shops across Merseyside, including Mossley Hill, Maghull, Norris Green, Formby and Crosby.

It is down the the generous spirit of supporters who give regular donations to keep the shops' stock ticking over.
