A poignant, moving and revealing exhibition which draws attention to the effect of World War One. The exhibition will explore the immediate aftermath of the conflict and the quest and failure of the search for peace over the subsequent century.

Lichfield Cathedral invite you to visit this FREE exhibition on until 24th June 2018.

The exhibition combines reflections of conflict from a local and national perspective and involves the work of some of Britain's most significant post war artists, which will question our notions of peace and war.

Internationally renowned artists include:

  • Henry Moore
  • Paul Nash
  • Graham Sutherland
  • Henri Gaudier-Brzeska

Other exhibits will include:

  • Original work by the Cathedral's Artist in Residence Peter Walker
  • Items from the Staffordshire Regiment Museum
  • Military Valour awards
  • Trench art
May Lecture Series

To mark this special exhibition, Lichfield Cathedral invite you to a series of lectures throughout May 2018 on the consequences of World War One on music, art, society and religion. Tickets are £5 to each lecture, or a 'Season pass' is £15, and are available online or at  The Shop at No9.
