Regenerage is an older people’s not- for-profit charity with a longstanding reputation in the local communities in Lancashire. With their Head Office based in Leyland and established for 45 year, the award-winning charity is proud to be recognised as leaders in providing much-needed services to older people and their carers, with an emphasis on dementia and memory concerns.

A Charity Built Around People, Not Just Services

Regenerage has been supporting older people in Lancashire for 45 years. What began as Age Concern Preston has grown into a trusted local charity with a simple but powerful aim, to help people age well, stay independent and feel valued within their communities.

Everything Regenerage does is centred around people. The team understands that growing older can bring challenges, whether that is loneliness, memory loss, caring responsibilities or simply needing a bit of extra support. Their work focuses on offering reassurance, practical help and friendly connection at the right time.

Practical Support for Everyday Life

Regenerage offers a wide range of community services designed to support older people in ways that genuinely make a difference. These services are flexible, supportive and delivered by people who take the time to listen and understand individual needs.

Support available includes:

  • Dementia support, advice and guidance including sign-posting.
  • Activity Centres in Lostock Hall, Bamber Bridge and Fulwood encouraging social connection, mental and physical health and wellbeing
  • Support groups for carers and family members
  • Guidance around financial, health and  later-life planning, delivered by trusted partners
  •  A Befriending Service, offering weekly telephone/ in person visits to lonely, isolated elderly people.

Whether someone needs ongoing support or just a friendly check-in, Regenerage aims to make life feel that little bit easier.

A Friendly, Local Presence in Leyland

While Regenerage is known for its community services, their 7 charity shops in Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Chorley Central and Chorley Calder Park, Buckshaw Village, Fulwood and Middlebrook Retail Park in Horwich play an important role in supporting the charity’s work with the income generated supporting charity services. The shops provide a welcoming space where people can shop sustainably, find out more about the charity, donate items or even volunteer.

Making a Real Difference Locally

What truly sets Regenerage apart is its heart. This is a charity that understands the importance of dignity, independence and human connection. By combining practical support with genuine care, Regenerage continues to make a positive difference to the lives of older people and their families across the Lancashire area.

Charity shop, lots of stock, pretty hectic, even moreso with social distancing. Worth a browse or a donate, for a good cause. We'll all be old eventually...
