The Raystede Centre

For

Animal Welfare

The Raystede Centre near to Lewes was founded by Miss Raymonde-Hawkins in 1952 to prevent and relieve cruelty to animals and to protect them from unnecessary suffering. Around 1500 unwanted and abandoned animals arrive at the centre annually.

Please give a rescue animal a new home.......

Dogs, cats and other small companion animals are found new caring homes while others remain in Raystede's care for the rest of their days.

Visit our website at www.raystede.org to see some of our animals waiting for new homes.

Please help raise funds for The Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare ......

There are at present over 1000 animals enjoying a happy and peaceful life at the centre. These include horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, chipmunks, pet rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, tortoises, terrapins, many different exotic birds and a sanctuary with several lakes for ducks, geese and moorhens.

The Raystede Centre is a charity (registered charity no. 237696) and totally relies on voluntary support.

Raystede not only provides a rehoming service for the many rescue animals that are brought to us, but also offers a great day out for the family, with the many walks, picnic areas, and film shows.
