The staff work so hard everyday to make the animals feel loved, and at home. The shop is the best by far in the area and the work they do is unbelievable.

If it were not for Wolfwood injured and displaced wildlife collected by the RSPCA in the Lancaster and Morecambe area would be put down as they have no facilites to deal with them.
At the same time all unwanted, stray and lost dogs in the area collected by the Lancaster City Council Dog Warden, would have to be put down at the end of the Council statutory seven day period as there is no other local facility prepared to take on the rehoming of them.
Add to that the fact that they are the permanent home of 7 horses and ponies that have been rescued, I think I am fair in saying that Wolfwood Animal Sanctuary is one of Lancaster's best kept secrets and needs to be 'discovered'.

I would recommend Woolfwood animal rescue centre to anyone.I have been to a few rescue centres in my time & have never met a more dedicated group of people who's sole interest is in the care of animals.We got a wonderful dog off Steven,who had already done a lot of work with her as she was an abused bitch.She is definately part of our family,only wish we could have more.

I absolutely love the work they're doing. They take in the unwanted dogs that other rescue centres won't take. They are well cared for animals and are loved a great deal. Staff take time out to play and cuddle each animal that comes in. A great charity to support.

Stephen and his team work 24/7 to care for lots of different animals in an extremely tough economic climate...his love and compassion is endless... All my family support Wolfwood and the wonderful work they do....can't praise them highly enough.

I got a new niece last year - Lily a beautiful fluffy Jake russel. She was rescued by wonderful Wolfwood. She was well looked after and thoughtfully introduced to her new home.
Lily is having a brilliant life and I am a very proud aunty. I will always be thankful to this wonderful charity for making it happen.

fantastic. they do a fab job . 100% deserve this!! i rescued a little very poorly bird. i took it to wolfwood. they put it in the nursey and slowly released it back into its habitat. they even emailed me regularly its progess.
