I got my second dog from here and he is an actual sweetheart.

I was so relaxed when we first met him which is why I think it worked so well.

It was certainly worth the journey. fantastic job guys!

We were looking for a dog to share a new life with Bonnie a young Rotty who we thought needed some more fun....apart from us, we went to Wolfwood.... and not only found the most handsome companion for Bonnie called Sonny (we have renamed him Rugby), but also the knowledge and advice we were given on how to build the dogs relationship by Stephen which has helped us enormously in making all our lives so much more complete. Stephen and his team are sensible in the approach to how the inital meetings are managed and how long new owners need to visit before a dog is allowed to be re-homed. I respect the attitude Stephen has in if you are really committed to re-homing a dog the number of visits are irrelevant, even from Wales.
Fanastic rescue centre and truely committed staff.

I love Wolfwood because of all the wonderful, hard work they do rehoming dogs, rehabilitating wildlife and running a brilliant charity shop.

Wolfwood is an amazing family run charity, devoted to their work and the rescued animals. The care and concern for the rescued goes above and beyond. It is totally about the welfare and happiness of the animals. The care is before, during and after adoption. Knowing always that Stephen is at the other end of the phone to help. The charity shop is one of the most honestly priced I've seen in a long time. The ladies that run the shop are lovely, helpful and friendly and always thank you for taking stuff in. The amazing thing that Wolfwood have done, which is unlike any other charity, is that they have managed to pull together the community, people that have adopted dogs, fundraisers, helpers, they are all part of an extended family now. You will never hear a wrong word said about Stephen and his family, his care. I'm proud to have a dog from him, to be part of that extended family. xx

What is there to say? A selfless and utterly hardworking small charity giving a voice, love and life saving care to homeless/abandoned dogs. Knowledgeable and devoted manager and team of volunteers, performing duties above and beyond the tasks others are paid highly for.

Very Good! - To be honest it is that good that they could do with more space or bigger premises for the charity shop

Why Wolfwood? Because the animals have always and will always come first. This is not a charity run for money but run by animal lovers who think only for the welfare of animals in giving them not just a better home but a better life. When re homing dogs they make sure the dog is going to a good home where they will find love and affection, not just a room. I donate as often as I can because I know my donations will go towards the animals. If you are looking for a new addition to your family or just want advice their doors are always open.

Wolfwood Animal Rehoming in Lancaster - Stephen Wakelin is one of the most caring people I know as far as animals are concerned and very helpful to everyone in a crisis. My niece once found a stray dog and she contacted him and he was very helpful with his advice. They work tirelessly to help rehome the dogs and are desperate to obtain their own premises where they can expand and further this valuable work. They have a good complement of volunteers who work very very hard and are always pleasant and cheerful.
Support Wolfwood - they are great.
