Join Obsidian Baroque for a concert celebrating the remarkable achievements and stories behind Wonder Women.
With the support of the Continuo Foundation, Obsidian Baroque will explore the remarkable women composers of 17th-18th century Baroque music. Featuring instrumental works by Anna Bon, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Madame Laschansky, Elisabetta de Gambarini (including the first keyboard music published in Britain by a woman), and others, they will combine live performance with storytelling, exploring how these women navigated a male-dominated musical world. They will also play a new commission for historical instruments by Molly Arnuk.
