Olympic gold medallist Linford Christie will be at a special event at the Town Hall, King's Lynn, on Sunday, 7 August, offering local people a unique opportunity to ask him questions about his athletics career, training regimes and coaching tips.

Adam Garford, Urban Sports Motivator, said: "This is a rare and exciting opportunity to ask questions of the only British man to have won gold medals in the 100 metres at all four major competitions. Linford has won 23 major championship medals including 10 gold medals."

Cllr Elizabeth Nockolds, Borough Council Cabinet Member, added: "We are privileged to have an athlete of this calibre here in King’s Lynn and we are absolutely delighted that we are able to offer this opportunity to local people."

The event is free of charge and starts at 7.30pm on 7 August. Places are limited so booking is essential. Bookings can be made by e-mailing activity.bookings@west-norfolk.gov.uk or by calling the activities booking line 01553 616251. Bookings must be received by 1 August.

Linford will be hosting his ever-popular Street Athletics event in King's Lynn on 8 August, with registration taking place between 4 and 5pm and the races commencing at 5pm.
