Have you considered the additional costs involved and if there might be tax relief available?
You may be able to claim tax relief for heating and light costs, water, telephone and internet based on the additional costs incurred.
You can either claim tax relief at £6 a week from 6 April 2020 (previously £4) without having to keep any evidence of the costs, or, if you want to claim more than £6 a week then you would need invoices, bills, receipts etc to justify the claim on any excess amount.
You then receive tax relief on those expenses at your marginal rate of tax.
