Really enjoyed our visit to La Mare. We’re South African so we know a thing or two about good wine and we were very pleasantly surprised by how good their red wine is, very smooth and easy to drink. Their apple brandy and black butter are also excellent.<br>We also have to give a huge shout out to all the staff there. While we on our tour and tasting we got some bad news and all the staff were so compassionate and kind. We honestly can’t thank you enough.<br><br>For anyone wanting to go to La Mare, I would say the best time of year to go is probably in summer as that’s when the vines will be looking their best.
