Great experience not much activity this time of year but we did get to see the Gorillas get fed and where able to sit and watch them foraging. Great helpful staff and a very good cafe.

A truly important zoo to visit with plenty of wildlife, but no large animals like elephants, rhjnos, giraffes, zebras or wild cats.

A well ran/maintained zoo.
The family really enjoyed themselves and didn't want to leave the Butterfly zone.

Pick up a leaflet with a map on it before you go as they didn't have any when I visited. The map boards around the park are not up to date!
A lot of the cages are not very big.
I was expecting more rarer animals - as much as I love meerkats and capybara they're not in need of conservation help, they're in most zoos! I did wonder walking round what Gerald Durrell would think of the place now!
