Love this place. Lots for kids to do indoor & outdoor. Cafe has good menu, all very tasty & reasonably priced. Served quickly.

Très belle découverte. Inattendu de voir un zoo si intéressant sur cette petite île.

Been a fan of Gerald Durrell since we read My Family and Other Animals in Year 9, so I am bias. It's a conservation zoo (except for the meerkats). It's a beautiful little establishment, it's more animal focused, and has a large menagerie feel about it. I came face to face with the famous Aye Aye, and he delighted with a magical [artificial] moonlite performance. The Gerald Story Centre was very informative!

I do enjoy this small zoo which I see as a gentle walk with some cute animals along the way. Although there are animals there do not expect to see them all as they are adept at not being seen!
There are none of the 'big five' but there is a bear and a large gorilla as well as some talented orangutans.
Other than that see it as a large park with plenty of stopping points, benches and a couple of cafes. I did note a couple of staff who were willing to talk if you could catch up with them which was good.
