Using sculpture, costume, sound, song, movement, video, art, creative writing and objects from the Jersey Heritage collections, the exhibition honours the traditional act of ‘vraicking’ (collecting seaweed from the shore) and celebrates the connections between humans, non-humans and the environment.
Reimagining the communal act of vraicking, the artists recreate the horse and cart, birds, crustaceans and the seaweed to explore the reciprocity, balance and care of our shoreline’s life.
