Do you have any home improvements done before Christmas. Now is the time to get organised.

Today is like a summer day so it seems a bit strange talking about getting home improvent jobs done for Christmas, however if you need to arrange professional help the sooner you give this some thought the better.

For those of us with limited DIY skills getting a job done around the house will probably involve employing someone with the suitable skills. Which can be a problem if you do not know an appropriate tradesman that you can rely on, the Yellow Pages give you dozens of options, but who’s any good??

Fortunately over the past couple of years a number of recommended and skilled trades people have joined TheBestofJersey so I am in the position to offer some suggestions on who to contact if you are looking to get a job done around the home:

Advice on interior design and space usage – David Spiller
Bathroom installations – All New Plumbing & Heating Services
Carpentry & Joinery – David Spiller & V&S Builders
Central Heating issues – All New Plumbing & Heating Services
Electrical work – Excel Electrics
Electrical safety checks – Excel Electrics
General Building Work – V&S Builders
House Cleaning (post building work maybe) – SDS Cleaning
Kitchens & kitchen design – Design Matters
Loft Extensions -  V&S Builders
Plumbing – All New Plumbing Services
Window & Glazing repair & replacement – Jersey Double Glazing

Details of all the above businesses can be found in our Business Directory.

The key thing is to get the ball moving if you want a home improvement job done before Christmas, give whoever you need to a call so that they can book you in. Please remember to tell them that you found out about them on TheBestofJersey and to give them a testimonial once the job has been done.

Finally a request for your help, do you know of any great local trades people that you would be happy to recommend? Why not spend a minute or two to tell us about them.
