Wow! Rarely does a restaurant so unexpectedly blow us away. Service was friendly and relaxed, but the food was the star. An amuse bouche was served free of charge; still warm homemade bread, lentil and chorizo hummus, chef's marinaded chilli lemon olives and flavoured olive oil.We ordered simple fish and chips which was beautifully presented with homemade tartar sauce in a little gem cup, amazing truffle and parmesan fries, mushy peas and a homemade curry sauce side. However, the star of the show was the completely off the wall desserts. Husband and I had the same freaked out reaction to the astonishing bacon, truffle honey and English mustard ice cream. He hated it, I thought it was one the the most amazing things I'd ever tasted! Another dessert of poached pear with stilton ice cream, panko encrusted stilton and salted caramel sauce was astonishing, but worked! Hand made chocolates filled with a tarragon flavoured ganache finished the meal perfectly all for a bargain £53. This place is innovative, off the wall and full of foodie passion. It deserves it's Michellin mention. Go with an open mind and try it!

Excellent food and service. All the food was delicious and fresh. Restaurant takes pride in locally sourcing food. Excellent with my wife's gluten-free diet. Most things were either gluten-free or could be adapted. Both the pork belly and the lamb melted in the mouth!
Menu in some ways quirky mainly down to the interesting flavours of ice-creams such as Thai red curry and Stilton! Did not try the Stilton but the Thai red curry was a triumph and definitely worked.Lovely friendly service and nice ambience. Would definitely recommend!

This is one of those restaurants that is run with passion, commitment and a real pride. That is evident from the moment you walk in. There are plenty of fish options but meat and vegetarian options also feature. The menu of the day represents truly excellent value. The food is well prepared and presented, and the service is charming. This is justifiably one of the best rated restaurants on Jersey - which is quite something considering the all round high standards on the island. The restaurant has a seaside decor and is spotless. And beautiful Gorey village and its imposing castle are only a walk away along the promenade. Well worth a visit… or two!

Everything from booking the table (personal & charming telephone manner which immediately set the bar of expectations high), to the lovely service, and the excellent food - all was superb.
The reasonably priced set lunch menu was excellent (the a la carte menu is also very tempting) - my friend enjoyed the first course of chicken liver parfait (" perfect indeed"), fish & chips (plaice - fresh & delicious, & served with a proper curry sauce too) & bread & butter pudding. I tucked into crisply tempting veg tempura, silky & lush skate wing followed by pear poached in port with Stilton ice-cream (so good) & Stilton croquettes. The menu has several of their innovative ice-cream flavours. What a lovely restaurant run by lovely people.

We visited as staying in Grouville and it was recommended. The staff was so lovely, very welcoming and attentive. The food was just beautiful. Our visit will be a lovely memory of our first visit to Jersey ❤️

We arrived 20 minutes before last orders and without a reservation, and yet we were made very welcome by the very friendly and courteous staff, who took the time to explain various menu choices on offer. We decided to try the 3 course set menu which proved to be not only great value but delicious too!
The Chef is very friendly and so confident in his skills that there is a viewing window for you to observe him at work.

We took advantage of the early bird Friday Fizz and Chip deal, £20 for their delicious home made bread , olives and hummus , Fried Plaice and chips, home made extras like mushy peas, curry and tartare sauce and a very acceptable glass of Prosecco.

Beautifully located just off the beach in Gorey , this is a fabulous fish retaurant which also does a great selection of othe local food. I had the Bass prawn cocktail with bloody mary sorbet, which was wonderous, and the Grey Mullet and samphire in a cream sauce as a main. Absolutely delicious and really well priced. The staff were all really attentive and a routine lunch was transformed into an occasion by great food and service. Thank You.

We agree entirely with all the 2023 positive reviews. We had a really enjoyable, top class lunch here. Food, ambience and service all simply excellent. We were in Jersey on a short celebratory break and went to a number of Michelin rated restaurants. This was the best experience, including the best food. The simple layout is well spaced and relaxing - it has no posh pretensions and is all the better for that. Added to which it’s easily accessible by the Islands good bus service - 1 and 1A and maybe others. Most days at least the 1 goes every 15 minutes. Ask for the Long Beach stop. When you are in or near St Helier, make this a must visit!

My new favourite restaurant on the island. Heard about this place and it did not disappoint.
Even the bread was exceptional. I had the plaice which was fantastic.
The homemade ice-creams are very unique. The red Thai curry was amazing.
