Led by internationally renowned guitar legend and recent recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Company of Musicians John Etheridge, Blue Spirits is completed by Pete Whittaker (organ) and Ian Thomas (drums).
Drawing on a vast reservoir of musical experience spanning over 50 years, Etheridge distils the bluesier side of his musical world into a repertoire where intensity and emotion sit alongside subtlety, fluidity and interaction. Pete Whittaker is a superb accompanist and soloist, while special guest on drums, the great Ian Thomas, has been first call for Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler and Gary Moore.
The trio will once again be joined by special guest vocalist Vimala Rowe, known for her soulful and passionate delivery. Vimala Rowe is renowned not only for her powerful voice, but also for her ability to transcend traditional genres. Together, they bring a unique jazz sound with nods to flamenco, Hindustani and African timbres, making this an unmissable evening.
