In a special show as part of Lauderdale House’s Free Lunchtime Concert series, Talia Nabarro will perform her programme ‘Progressions of Love: A Recital in Four Movements’, accompanied by our resident pianist Stephen Hose.
Bringing together opera, art song, traditional song and musical theatre, this recital explores love at different stages of life. The programme is divided into four movements: Early Love, Mature Love, Regret and Loss, and Self-Love/Self-Actualisation. Beginning with the excitement and innocence of first love, it moves through intimacy and deeper connection before turning to longing, heartbreak and reflection. The final movement focuses on independence, self-acceptance and finding fulfilment within oneself.
Talia Nabarro is a classical soprano based in North London. She studied Music Performance at the University of Leeds, where she recently graduated with a First-Class BMus. During her degree, she spent a year at the University of California, Santa Cruz, studying vocal performance and opera. Her roles there included Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and Cinderella in Sondheim’s Into the Woods.
