Ipswich Choral Society warmly invites you to an evening of inspiring choral music, bringing together some of the most joyful and moving sacred works of the Classical era.
The centrepiece of the programme is Mozart’s Mass in C minor (K. 427) — a deeply expressive and richly dramatic work, filled with moments of tenderness, wonder, and radiant praise. Alongside this masterpiece, enjoy the sparkling exuberance of Exultate, jubilate, the gentle serenity of the much-loved Ave verum corpus, and Haydn’s powerful Insanae et vanae curae, music that journeys from turmoil to hope.
Performed by Ipswich Choral Society with the ICS Festival Orchestra, led by Kathryn Parry and conducted by Christopher Borrett, this concert brings together wonderful musicians and soloists Madeleine Holmes and Catherine May (sopranos), Jonathan Hanley (tenor), and Finlay Bloore (bass).
Whether you are a lifelong lover of choral music or discovering it for the first time, this is an evening to relax, listen, and be moved — a shared musical experience you will be very welcome to enjoy.
