Lunchtime Talks at Ipswich Tourist Information Centre

A series of five 20-minute lunchtime talks are being held at the Ipswich Tourist Information Centre in St Stephens Lane from Monday 18 June.  The wide range of topics include a printmaking demonstration by Oyster Community Press, the story of the suffragette movement in Ipswich by local author Joy Bounds, the history of Wolsey’s Angels by Philip Wise and a talk by conservationist Bob Entwhistle about the preservation work done by Ipswich Museums.  The talks start at 1pm and admission is free.  Organised by Ipswich Arts Association, they are part of the Open House event at the Tourist Information Centre showcasing the work of local arts groups.  Everything from theatre to concerts, from world cinema to children’s literature and much more.  The exhibition is open 9am to 5pm and continues until Saturday 23 June.
